Hello,

I have this graphics card embedded on a motherboard of XT machine.
I'm interested in disabling CGA/Plantronics support on the card. The PVC2 chips supports different standards (MDA, Herc, CGA/Plantronics), yet in my machine it doesn't do Hercules, while also being on some ISA Hercules clones.

In this picture of standalone card,

there's a same Paradise chip and CRT controller chip I have onboard.
In the corner of the card you can see one socketed small Paradise chip. Seems no info on internet available. My current question is what would be the purpose of this chip on the card?

Resolved.

That PLA in the corner does contain the "configuration" for PVC2 thus it bares some registers from being written to in my onboard case.
But removing it and PVC2 too, makes the onboard card go away. Which is what I was looking for.
