i managed to recover a 3dfxv2 card
and tried ef2000 v2.0 3dfx

works OK,
although i have to adjust brightness each time i play the game
(don't know which figure to set R G B values to)

i would like to upload some movies to youtube,
but don't know what capturing programs to use

if you know some tools (preferably freeware)
that can (all these at the same time):
- capture full screen
- capture with sound (preferably stereo)
- capture a DOS game running in win95
- capture 3dfx content

i'll appreciate the tips

thanks

Capturing Voodoo2 footage is tricky, you'll need a VGA2USB or VGA2PCI capture device for that. elianda has captured V2 footage here before.
It's going to be more than a pretty penny, though

Voodoo3s and later have S-VIDEO out which can lead to cheaper but of course lower quality recording solutions.

Yea a VGA to S-Video converter and then a USB S-Video capture device would be one of the cheaper options. Shouldn't cost more than $100 all up if you buy the parts from eBay!

put the follwing in your autoexec.bat

SSTV2_GAMMA=0 to 3.0
eg:
SSTV2_GAMMA=1.15

or SSTV2_BGAMMA for blue
SSTV2_RGAMMA for red
SSTV2_GGAMMA for green

I thought ef2000 required a voodoo 1. Or is that only super ef2000?

super ef2000 was win95 software

ef2000 (with the Graphics+"-Patch,) did require a v1 but it would work on a v2 if you used the correct environment variables
set SST_GRXCLK=90
set SST_FT_CLK_DEL=0x4
set SST_TF0_CLK_DEL=0x6
set SST_TF1_CLK_DEL=0x6
set SST_VIN_CLKDEL=0x1
set SST_VOUT_CLKDEL=0x0
set SST_TMUMEM_SIZE=2

ps: just read ef2000 also supported the verite anyone ever played it - Swayee ?
