hi everyone,
i was just wondering what sound card emulator you guys prefer for quality and compatibility: vdmsound or sound fx 2000 (or something else)?

i'm currently running vdms (because it's free), but i'd like to know if i'm missing out on something.

thanks in advance

*doesn't fail in quickly pointing out the fact that VOGONS hosts the VDMSound support and development forums, and that there's a damn good reason for it* 😀

Yes, it’s my fault.

i hadn't noticed, i guess i was too lazy to scroll down to the vdms boards 😀

and vdms is simply excellent, i hadn't started messing around with the advanced config options until today, so i'm just starting to realize how powerful and versatile it really is. looks like i won't be using other soundcard emulators anytime soon.

IIRC, SoundFX is more like an audio "wrapper" than an emulator. IIRC, There used to be some advantages to it, ...but they were minimal...
