Ok so i need to know which ones are most compadible, and which ones use less memory? And are there any alternatives?

Cutemouse 1.9.1 full or Cutemouse 2.1 beta 4, i do not need wheel support, but does the 2.1 version fixes someting or add other fetures, besides wheel?

And is there any other DOS mouse driver, besides Microsoft and Logitech, just for curiosity.... 😁

There was something called Linear Mouse, which is 3-buttoned mouse, plus an extra feature:
An extra button, that can-be toggled (yes toggled, not just clicked) to select the mouse movement rate: Linear or Non-Linear , like those being re-invented by apple as MagicMouse, except you can't choose with magicmouse...

Its a COM-port mouse, and that extra button was located on opposite end from normal mouse buttons.
It has its own driver, but may also works with Microsoft mouse driver or Logitech mouse driver.
Older microsoft mouse driver however, won't allow to use its middle button click.

hi

i have a trackball with a similar feature as you describe and
it has a key lock and three buttons plus it's 9pin serial. i
bought it so long ago now i can't quite remember where i put
it but it's here somewhere 😀

on the side it has a switch which enables microsoft emulation
and for native three button operation you switch it to
`mouse systems' emulation. you are probably referring to
that.

you can search for mouse systems drivers and i believe some
of the standard drivers also offer a mouse systems mode as
well.
