I installed GTA and started GTA24.EXE which worked fine, but there was no sound
I went to the config program and correctly set up the sound blaster settings and changed nothing else
Now GTA24 says that it could not detect a supported SuperVGA chip and fails to launch ?!

GTA8.EXE works fine and has working sound, but obviously it doesnt look very good. Any one have ideas or have seen this problem before?

I cant quite remember did gta24 need a 3dfx card?
Found this when trying to double check the above, what system specs you running
GTA colours display incorrectly in fullscreen

I dont believe it needs 3dfx. There is a separate 3dfx executable and it worked when my sound wasnt working. Its running on a Cyrix Geode GX1

GTA24 doesn't need a 3DFX card, that's GTAFX.
