ok i've done some searching on this forum and others and went through hell just to get strike commander running. i installed VirtualPC and after abit i got the game working. prob is that i cannot set the speed of the plane higher then 2mil. the manual says that it could be due to changing hardware but i havent changed the specs in virtual pc,

any idea's?, i could load up win98 on the VPC and try it that way (to much hassle)
Virtual PC specs
os: Dos 6.22
mem: 32mb

computer specs
p4 2.8ht
1gig ram
radeon 9550 256mb

win98 wont help as its a dos game mybe a slow down util ???

ps: what is 2mil ??? 2 mp/h ?

mil = military speed.
also i used to have Strike commander running under win98 once i was able to bash the computer into using emm386.

and i have used slow down utils in the past but they dont seem to work on my machine.

i just got it working properly.

i used VPC to run win98 and then stuff around with the ems xms settings and it installed and works properly. i have full controll over the speed now.

now just gotta get the sound, mouse, joystick to work and i will be very happy

Strike Commander runs fine under DOSBox btw., with sound and stuff.

I remember that some cracks don't allow set more than 20% power, and made your plane randomly explode on the runway...
