does anybody know how to get the 16-bit movies of the windows version in DOSbox? The dos version has only 265 colors.

uhm even if you can get the game reading the 16 bit movies dosbox will not display them as dosbox has 8 bit (256) maximum colors

oh ok, doesn't matter anyway... the game keeps crashing down,
even in dosbox. it runs fine but it locks-up all the time...

the game locks up.
the sound is good, the video is smooth and the gameplay too.
but sometimes it crashes back to windows or the music crashes.

In dosbox.conf, set waitonerror=true. It should stop so you can see the error in the console and report it now.

well, it the game returns to dosbox with a small window and no errormessage.
I turned on the "waitonerror" but there no error message.

I'm tellin ya'all...just use VMWare. Or a real Win98 install. I played thru the entire game ok with VMWare. VirtualPC may well be the better way to go and I think you can get a demo of that from MS.

It is annoyingly ironic that P1 works fine in XP while P2 is broken.

I know this is 3 years too late, but I have found a fix to get Phantasmagoria 2 for Windows 95 working absolutely perfectly in Windows XP.

no Dosbox, no VDMsound. NATIVE. Windows. XP.
