I have been searching everywhere. Maybe I don't know which terms or keywords to use. So here is the issue. The mouse in some DOS games distorts or paints the screen. The following game is Spellcasting 101: Sorcerers Get All the Girls in which this occurs:

Not many games do this, seems to be older dos ones.

I am running on real hardware:

486DX2-66
-Edom / WinTech MV020 Baby AT ISA 486
-64MB Kit (4x16MB) 30-pin Non-Parity SIMMs
-No L2 Cache
-IDE to Single CF Adapter Card Reader using EZ-BIOS (4gb card)
-SoundBlaster 16
-Trident TVGA BIOS VL4.7 (02) -1024k 32bit bus DRAM VGA MODE (VESA)

Using a Samsung SyncMaster 955df monitor.

My Thoughts are the
-Video Card, perhaps in the wrong mode for the game
-Mouse Driver? (Using CuteMouse v2.0)

I have a new Video card coming regardless if its the card or not. Just wanted some options.

That worked!!!!! God I never thought to look at a possible command line argument. I was too busy looking everywhere else, thinking it was hardware. I do have it in some installation screens but I figured that was not important since the mouse works fine in the game. Thank you for that answer.

Its in the darn manual. I looked there but did not read to look at the troubleshooting page:

The game expects you to be using a Microsoft compatible mouse driver. If your mouse is wreaking havoc with the pictures, its probably not Microsoft compatible. In this event, return to DOS and start the game by typing SlOl XMOUSE.

Incase anyone else comes across this issue. Read the manual closely. Unlike me.
