HI ALL from venezuela.

I m trying to run this game. TOP GUN fire at will . It needs a CD ROM supports.

It almost works under my XP machine : p4 1.5 with 256 ram and video Gforce 3, and Sond Blaster Live.

I Tried to play it from windows XP... ( DOS window) but i found this problems:

- Buffers-files 40-0 found during installation. Dont know how to change or fix it from XP.
- Joystik doesn t works . ( sidewinder force feedback)
- Sound is working but with continous bit interruptions that make it patetic.
- Graphics are more patetic than sound , ... its seems like every pixel has my finger size...even with high res setting.

Then now i m tring with DosBox0.63.
I installed it and done ever thing that the DosBox Wiky guide says. But it doesn t run good...

- too slow in the dos window (its a quarter of all monitor)
- no sound. It says that my sound card is not compatible with anyone listed during the setup.

only one good.... joystick works.

Have some one tried this game or have suggestions please ?

thx.

Please write down what you tried using DOSBox. This game is from 1996 so I wouldn't be surprised if it'd run slow under DOSBox (where everything is virtualised/emulated). Possible suggestions are using dynamic core & frameskipping.

Okay here's somethings I found as I haven't managed to make the game run well enough:

1. Running in Windows the controls in-game do not work
2. Running through DOSBox it is too slow

I may look at it again sometime, but currently it's in my small pile of unplayable games, so any findings would be useful!
