I was wondering, is a C-media wave device compatible with any old sound drivers supported by most dos games from the mid-late 90's?

My old C-Media 8738 had drivers for MS-DOS. It somewhat emulated MIDI and crude SB but no AdLib support, as far as I know. The other emulations were not perfect either. As for answering your question: NO, not without emulation. The CMI was a native audio PCI card with its propietary chipset. Nothing to do with anyone else.
