Thanks to some of the posts on this forum, I managed to get VDMSound working flawlessly with TIE Fighter CD on my Athlon XP 1800+ with GeForce 4. However, the fan on the GF4 broke a few months ago, so I couldn't play 3D games, and I just got around to replacing it with a gift, a Radeon X1600 Pro.

And now, TIE Fighter CD won't work in SVGA. 🙁 I've tried some UniVBE gymnastics but nothing seems to work. Without the UniVBE stuff, it is distorted - like the scanlines are all being pushed over, showing the same image four times but just barely. WIth it, the image is one color with some occasional pixels, usually grey, sometimes blue, depending on the prevailing color of the scene.

Anyone have any help, or am I going to have to plug the GF4 back in to play a decade-old game? 🙁 Or suffer and play VGA, which is possible (hell, I did it a half dozen times back in the day) but SVGA is so much better.
