I installed Phantasmagoria on Windows XP and could play it very well. Now I'm almost at the end, Curtis' mother calls him to say he has something for him. Behind her back she holds a pair of scissors. But exactly after this movie, I always get an error:

We're sorry, you have encounted an internal game error. please restart your game and restore a saved game. If you have continued problems, please report the following information to Sierra Technicall Support:

Error 47: Not an object: $cb7
i:\sys\asm2cpp.cpp(73)
Script# 56436 ($ff01e284+)

Anyone else that has had the same problem and knows a solution?

'This is for the WIN 95 version only. This patch fixes occurrences of an "error 47, not an object" when clicking on the door to the computer room in chapter five. It also addresses a rare problem which caused palette trashing when saving and restoring games.'

Hmm, I don't know. I have installed the DOS version of the game. Don't think this will work. I'll give it a try anyway. Thanks.

First of all, it seems there's a mistake on the website:

http://www.sierra.com/downloadfile.do?gamePla … 9&mediaid=12333
http://www.sierra.com/downloadfile.do?gamePla … 0&mediaid=12335

They have interchanged the descriptions for the patches. I have downloaded the one on the Phantasmagoria II page, and it is called p2fix.exe all right. But when ran in DOS, it says I need win 3.1 or above to run it.

I picked this up again. See CD swapping problem with Phantasmagoria 2
