Hi,
I hope you understand my english because I'm a german user.

I want to play an old DOS-Game called Crusade. The installation worked but when iÍ want kto play it there is the Error:

VDFS Error: This Programm needs MSCDEX or NWCDEX so that it can Read the CD-Rom.

Program abortet

So my Question is:

What is wrong - can I install this "MSCDEX in DOSBox?

Did you mount the CD properly?

(Where D: is the letter of your drive)

mount D: D:\ - t cdrom

EDIT - People keep getting here first 😅 I'm getting slow.

hi all...
I just jump on this abandonned topic, because I've got the same problem for the same game...
I checked with all the solution I found, but none is working. To be more specific: dosbox tell me: "mscdex installed" when I mount the cd-rom drive as a cd drive, when it is in a subdirectory, it tells me it is only partialy suported, but in both case, the game continue to tell me the same error msg.
Any idea plz?

PS: I've got dosbox 0.65 on windows xp, and I tried also the label and "iosomething" stuff...
