I am trying to play m.a.x. (mechanized assault and exploration) over ipx connection. I have ipx enabled on both machines and I have played other games via ipx.

In the setup screen max asks for an ipx socket. The default setting is 51e7.

When I try to host or join an ipx game, I get the message: Network not available or Ipx socket not found. Unable to continue with connection...

Can anyone help me? Also keep in mind I don't know much about ipx, so if there's a way to create a socket for use with the game I don't know how to do that.
