Has anyone here ever had a compatibility issue running a DOS game on Win9x (with vxd drivers) where the problem was inadequate DOS drivers for a Soundblaster Live or Audigy?
Not in my experience, although the most advanced sound card I ran on a Win9x box was a SBLive!. Try using the alpha version of VDMSound for Win9x. (In VDMSound > Development forum.)
Yes, it’s my fault.
I'll bet you a million dollars that the Audigy and Audigy 2 use the same, nearly unmodified DOS drivers as the SB Live and PCI128, which I'll also bet were written by Ensoniq rather than Creative.
