Hi there, folks, how are you? I just found this forum from Home of the Underdogs, and I must say it's wonderful.

Now to business, however. Does anyone have any advice on how to get M.A.X. running on Windows XP? I get the autorun and install screens just fine, but I can't get the sound installation program working, even with VDMSound. I have a sound blaster audiligy gamer, BTW.

Any advice would be most welcome, thanks.

If it has a spaceship in it, I will play it.

Hmm. I don't have a problem getting the sound installation program to run, with or without VDMS. The only problem I have is when I don't run the game itself with VDMS, it won't start because it can't find the soundcard. With VDMS, it starts up fine.

(However, I do have a problem with the sound stuttering. I can't get it to stop, which basically makes it too annoying to play.)

Does this mean you're able to run it without the consistently annoying "clicking" in the audio?
