I followed the steps outlined on this website to get RTZ to work, but I am getting a "insufficient free DOS memory" error when i try to run the game. It says I need 12368 more bytes. Is there any way to increase my DOS memory?

Heres the website whose instruction I followed: http://home.earthlink.net/~infernofilecabinet … T/rtz_setup.htm

Thats Zork Dave, not Return to Zork (the CD-ROM FMV game). mOOnpirate - What system are you running this on, DOS or a Win 9x one? In other words when you type mem what do you have free? What does your autoexec.bat/config.sys setup look like?

I would also suggest dosbox, because Zork runs perfectly in it.

If you try to get enough conventional memory on a modern system within Windows 95/98 you're going to have a real hard time finding drivers. In Dosbox it should give you more than enough automatically - you could also lower it a bit in case the game can't read that much conventional memory (happens).
