hi just wanted to say that VDMSound is an amazing program but i'm having one problem.

When playing a game of mine i keep getting the same error Put EMM386 in you config.sys

I have already enabled ems memory in the vdmsound settings and was just wondering how to get this one game working.

Thanks for your time.

That's strange. I'll poke around to see if I can find the game and get back to you.

As this is not a VDMSound related problem, however, I'm moving this to The Guide > DOS.

Yes, it’s my fault.

That would be bad grammar, you nitwit nitpicker. 😀

"A game of mine" in this usage would likely mean, "a game that I own" or "a game that I possess."

Hehehe...

This sounds like a problem that has been experienced by at least one other person here. Do you have a RAID or extra HDD controller? Things like that could cause the problem by not allowing EMM386 to load in memory by taking up too much space.

Make sure that in your CONFIG.NT goes as follows:

DOS=HIGH,UMB
DEVICEHIGH=C:\WINNT\HIMEM.SYS
DEVICEHIGH=C:\WINNT\EMM386.EXE RAM I=B000-B7FF

And, BTW, that's not really bad grammar. Perhaps improper, but not bad.

Yes, it’s my fault.
