I have a disc that looks like the one shown here.

There's a slight difference. The orange triangle with 4 lines of text only has 2 lines on my copy. it says:

Spear of Destiny

Installing from the autoplay menu copies wolf3d to my hard drive. Play, from this menu, attempts to launch the game from the disc then crashes with an error. I can play Wolfenstein 3D with DOSBox but there's no trace of Spear of Destiny. There is another wolfenstein folder on the disc with 2 Files.
LAUNCH.EXE
Unist.isu

LAUNCH.EXE shows me this screen.

No mater which option I choose the result is the same.

If I double-click LAUNCH.EXE on the disk it says:

Wolfenstein 3D - Spear of Destiny is not installed.

Please run INSTALL.EXE located at the root of this CD.

There is no such file, anywhere on the disc.

Does anyone have information about this release? Was something left out?

Methinks not. what I see on the screen is more of a spear Setup, then an install program. I suppose you'd have to run that, Spear would ask you where you'd like it to be installed, ie wolf3d, and then that screen would come up?

I was reading the other day about someone who was annoyed that his Wolf3D CD said that it included Spear of Destiny even though it wasn't actually on the disc. Perhaps others are experiencing this problem?

Anyway, Spear of Destiny is but $5 on Steam these days.
