Has anyone ever run these 2 games under Windows XP?

What does CM2 stand for?
Have you tried a quick search?
Yes, it’s my fault.
CM2 = Championship Manager 2
Did a quick search for FIFA 96 and couldn't find anything
Hrrrmm...
Both are DOS, both need a 486 minimum, both have SVGA/VESA screenmodes.
Looks like DosBox is out... From what I've read, "CM2" is VESA-only, while FIFA96 has a VGA mode. Can't find any demos to test...will look some more.
"GeForce2 MX400"...Hrrmm. History of VESA issues. Try both with no audio (if possible) and try to configure FIFA96 to run in 320x200 resolution. Results?
FWIW, Championship Manager 97-98 ran fine in silence on my PC. As I understand it, it uses the same "game engine" as CM2.

How have you set it up to install on your XP system? The problem is that when I try to install it can't recognise that the original is in the CD - gives an error about inserting LASER_LOK cd.

This was a "ripped" version and no installation options were available.

That, apparently, is the primary obstacle.
There a few other titles that break because of Laserlok as well (put Laserlok into quick search). The only solution I know of is to either find a version without Laserlok protection, or remove it yourself.
