Hi all

i just "reactivated" my old PC (ISA Soundblaster 16 PnP, 233 Mhz PII) to play some (really good) old Games. Most games are working fine, but i have problems with games using cd audio tracks as soundtrack. For example Monkey Island 1 with cd audio.

Under 98 (with scummVM) everything works fine; the tracks are played correctly via audio cable. But under DOS I can't hear anything.

Greetings

In DOS your sound card and it's drivers are responsible for CD-audio. You might get audio from your SB16 without using any drivers at all for some programs, but others will require a full DOS driver install (complete with a mixer program that you will probably have to start and configure) before you get CD audio.
