IIRC I've tried that before, but had no luck. I had them installed on a W98 PC with an AWE32 card (which, if I'm remembering correctly, they both worked with the AWE32), and then copied the installed files over to my new PC (that has an SBLive card installed in it).
I don't remember that working for me, though. On the newer PC, the installers worked just fine, but when trying to run the programs (going from ememory here), there was an error message to the effect of "NO MPU401 device found", or "Cannot open MPU401 device"... something like that.
