Hi there I'm new here and new with VDMSound and I was just wondering if it was possible to play the game toonstruck with it, i've tried and so far all i get is it freezing when it tryes to configure the video, does VDMSound support Vesa or UniVBE?

If you had read the documentation, this shouldn't be confusing.
VDMSound is an audio hardware emulator. It's only video relation is the "Basic VESA support" which basically is the option start up in "Full-screen" mode instead of in a window. So if you're looking a video fix, it would need to be elsewhere. XP has limited VESA support.
It may be possible use VESA emulation to get it working, but I'd recommend against it. They tend to cause more problems than they fix.
The only other real option right now is a dual-boot.
For now, try setting to 320x200 mode and running it.
