Anybody tried this with Heroes 2 (HOMM2)? Something wrong with VESA, I tried full screen, no result

My computers: Toshiba laptop, mob. C600, 64 RAM, 4MB ATI Rage Mobility, W2K SP2
and K6-2/333, 72 RAM, 8MB ATI Xpert, W2K SP2.

Game - I think 1st ver. (Succession Wars, for DOS).

Error mesage - smth 'Video driver not found' in window,
full screen - hangs without any error mesage.

There's a patch for both the Windows and DOS version if it's not up to v1.3.

No word on if the patch has been tried yet.

Since it's SVGA, I fear that "Sci-Tech" thing may be dragged into this..
