Do you just slip it on there and then select sound blaster for the music selection during the sound card selection of a game? Then if the game has midi it plays the midi through the daughtercard? Or is there any further setup required.

This would be for both DOS and Windows 95.

In DOS it's easy: connect the daughterboard, make sure the soundblaster (or equivalent) is jumpered for MIDI on port 330 and set your music device to be General MIDI, Waveblaster or Yamaha XG.

No drivers or other software required.

I'm having an issue with that. Under win98, the midi devices control panel sees SB16 Midi Out, but when I select it, I get no sound. If I switch it over to Creative Synth, I get the normal SB synth like normal.

Everything is active and volumes up within the Windows mixer. Is there some kind of SB mixer panel I'm not seeing somewhere to turn it on under windows?
