Hey guys! I'm trying to play a really old nostalgic game about dinosaurs. It was awesome, and I haven't played it in maybe 15 years, and thought it would be incredible to see it again.

I downloaded the game from a website, since they don't sell it anymore and I don't have a CD-rom drive. It was a zip file and it has an installer application, but when I click it says "this app can't run on your pc" (windows 😎. I installed DOsbox and don't know if it will work but I have no idea how to use it. If anyone could help me get this game to work I'd appreciate it so much. Thanks!

We don't support so called abandonware here.

Most likely it's packaged using a Windows installer which of course won't work in DOSBox or you aren't running the game in DOSBox itself.

To use DOSBox read the documentation. There's really not that much to it.

For DOSBox and any games, always use a front-end (menu loader for DOSBox) as they will make it very easy to select which DOSBox options to use, and often the front-end's default options will run most games well.

I use D-Fend Reloaded (http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/), as it does what I want, but others might be better.

For a list of front-ends, see:
