Hi, I recently build myself a sweet Ms Dos computer and am filling it with my favorite (purchased) games, but to my horror it turns out my version of Dune 2000 is a Windows game?
I bought this game off a friend around 2001 and never bothered to check, I always assumed it was a Dos game somehow.

So I've been searching and I found a post by someone who said that this game was also released as a Dos version? is this true?

I highly doubt.

C&C (1995) and Red Alert (1996) had both DOS and Windows 95 versions. But Dune 2000 (1998) it's the first time I hear about it.

Can't seem to find that post anymore, but it boiled down to "use the dos version of 2000 instead".
I guess that person was either misinformed or confused with the CD version of Dune 1.

Ah well, was kinda hoping to get to play Dune 2000 on my Dos Machine but plenty of other games in the world.

I'd be highly amused if someone ran it under DOS via the "HX Dos Extender"...

I once tried running ScummVM via the HX Dos Extender in an attempt to play the 256 color version of Zak McKracken.

I was unsuccessful.
