i have searched the forum for my problem and been unable to find anything. all the forum posts about stonekeep deal with RUNNING the game after installing it. i have a compaq presario amd athlon 2800+ with 512 megs ram, on board video/ram, and winxp home OEM. i cannot INSTALL the game. if i run the install program through xp, i get this error: "critical error: please check cd drive". so, i try through vdms (whoo hoo- why? : ) and get the same error. so i try dosbox and it SEEMS to install- it copies, seems to verify, then it enters the setup page, i save the config data, but when i try to RUN the game, the directories it is looking for are NOT on the hard drive or the CD!! and the hard drive directory contains very few files.

i like the game, and it used to run on a different xp install i had, but no more.

any ideas?
