Looking for a disk image of Pirates! to replace a corrupt original?

Postby telecommand » 2018-4-18 @ 08:16

Hi all, does anyone have a disk image they could please send me of the original release of Pirates! by Microprose for DOS? I have an original copy (attached for proof!) which no longer reads :depressed:

Thanks in advance!

Lemme see what I can dig up. If I have it, I'll PM you with a link to download.

I don't have the 3.5" images, but I do have the 5.25" images. Will those work for you?

Hmmmm possibly? I wonder if it would just be a case of combining the files to write to a single 3.5"? I doubt the files themselves would be any different right?

The files should be the same. I'll do a test later to see if it will run from a 3.5" disk.

Having trouble finding anything that can properly open the .img files. I think I have some 5.25" disks laying around somewhere and will try again once I have a system set up with a 5.25" drive.

That's OK. Can you please PM the files to me and I'll give it a go after work? I've got everything set up already :)
