i just bought the first civilization for my wife, I cannt get the game to open. It will install just fine but when I try to start the game game I get
"CIV" not recognized as an internal or external command.

The read me txt said to type "CIV" to get the game to work but it wont.
The computer is running off of XPhome.

you have to be on the right directory, you can launch "cmd" to make so.
or you can install vdmsound and run civilization through it (you may have to do it to get the sound working)
