Hello folks

I have a sound problem, but let me first describe my system:

PC: Compaq Armada M700 portable.
Motherboard: Unknown (how do I find out?)
Processor: Pentium 3, 850 MHz (x86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 6 GenuinIntel ~845 Mhz)
RAM: 320,50 MB (64 + 128 + 128)
Video Board: ATI RAGE Mobility P/M AGP 2X (A21/2). 8 MB RAM
Souncard (external): Creative Sound Blaster MP3+ (USB)
OS: XP Professional
Game: Dark Forces (version unknown, probably 1)

Problem:
When I install the game and run the sound check/configuration, I get no sound. The game detects the sound card as a Sound Blaster, but not a Sound Blaster MP3+.

I am a novice on computers and hope someone will give me an advice how to approach this issue.
I have not downloaded any "tools" to fix the problem as I don't know which one will do the job, or if they contain adware or similar.

Edit: Both the sound and the music is missing. Complete silence 🙁
