Hi I have been having a problem getting SWOS to play sound through my AC`97 sound chip. I was running in a w2k command window.

I have downloaded and tried running via Dosbox and the sound works.

Trouble is the performance is terrible I have tried all the suggestions I can
find in the forums / FAQs but only manage to get slight improvement.

Does anyone know of a good configeration I can try for SWOS, or does anyone have any ideas to get the sound working?

In my opinion, AC'97 integrated sound system are utter evil and a poor excuse for a real soundcard. I have also one on my A7V333. The problem with those AC'97 sound codec/chipset is that they all are call AC'97 but may vary a lot depending on manufacturer. One thing, though... is really, really important to have proper and updated drivers updated.
