You mean running it within a command prompt inside Windows?, or some kind of DOS emulation tool?

I've yet to hear of someone running it within Windows due to the memory methods used by Origin (I believe that Strike Commander uses VCPI memory like "System Shock" and "Wing Commander: Armada"). If not, you can try hacking your WinME to access "true" DOS again.
Word-of warning: The three patches are "at-your-own-risk" hacks that work for most people but have no guarantees. Use only if you're fairly knowledgeable about DOS/Windows.
