Alright I'll first start by the guidelines.

Motherboard:MSI PT880 Neo
Processor:Pentium 4 3.4 Ghz
RAM:1 gig of DDR PC 3200
Operating system: Windows XP
Game name: Lord of the rings (Interplay cd enhanced version)
Situation:Ok when I run it on my 3.4 ghz comp the cd plays (music is heard) but the game just quits when it starts and music continues to play
Soundmode:Soundblaster
I tried using VDMSound but it still doesn't work.
And yes I have read the readme but it doesn't say anything like this. I think its a memory issue but i'm not sure.

Ooops the cd says dos on it but even if I run it in dos (I know dos isnt really dos in xp) it still doesn't work. I also used dosbox but it still wouldn't run. The error message I get when I run dosbox is that the cd rom isnt in the drive even when it is. When I run the game regularly The music plays but game freezes.

I fixed it! I did it with dosbox and I had to do some stuff before it worked. Apparently the game came with a batch file so I ran dosbox and mounted the c and d drive as usual and when I loaded the batch file I put this instead: "loadhigh lord" (without quotes of course) enter and voila it worked! Hope this will help people out there who can't seem to get this game to work.
