Hi community

I've recently acquired a Fujitsu MCP3130AP IDE 1.3G Magneto-Optical drive.
Tried to find MS DOS drivers for it and couldn't.
The only useful url I've found http://ohlandl.ipv7.net/misc/230MB.html - but the Fujitsu URL seems expired already.
Please help. Maybe suggest something compatible ?

Use the Wayback Machine, my friend! Looks like 2015 is the last time that Fujitsu URL worked.
https://web.archive.org/web/20150724122112/ht … rt/software/mo/

On the other hand, looks like none of the files were preserved. Furthermore, I can't really see which, if any, are compatible with your drive.
Most drivers mentioned there look like they might be for the 230MB drives comparable to the IBM drive you found at http://ohlandl.ipv7.net/misc/230MB.html

** [EDIT] Google claims that there's a partial backup of these files at ftp://cyberia.dnsalias.com/pub/filebase/hw/Fujitsu/
ftp://cyberia.dnsalias.com/pub/filebase/hw/Fujitsu/FILES.HTM

[EDIT] Okay, got you.

In the era of the Fujitsu MCP3130AP , based on my research, you would have found drivers here: http://jp.fujitsu.com/platform/storage/compon … s/mo/downloads/
or maybe here: http://mo.fujitsu.com/jp/archive/
or here: http://www.fujitsu.com/jp/group/personal/supp … /driver/mo.html

I had luck with the Wayback Machine:
https://web.archive.org/web/20130716052533/ht … s/mo/downloads/

Which turned up DOS/V drivers for the SCSI and ATAPI internal MO drives: https://web.archive.org/web/20130416012627/ht … wnloads/dosuty/
Download link works, downloads archive from archive.org!

Problem here, DOS/V is not MS-DOS exactly. English details: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOS/V

Next possibility: IODATA MOI-AB1.3 allegedly used Fujitsu MCP3130AP internals. So maybe IODATA drivers can work?
Still online. https://www.iodata.jp/lib/product/m/767.htm
Claims to have MS-DOS drivers. Not sure if DOS/V drivers instead.

Good luck. Hope you understand Japanese, you may need to!

Please let us know if any of these work!

You did real magic! Thank you. Really appreciate it.

I think this driver https://web.archive.org/web/20130416012627/ht … wnloads/dosuty/ may work!
At least it runs well on my MS DOS 6.22 PC, but I can't test it yet because the MO drive still on it's way 😀 I will let know in this thread.

The MO drive finally arrived today. The drive works OK, I've tested it with windows 10. But the MS-DOS software drivers don't see this drive at all. This software drivers fits MCF3064AP with IDE. It may be helpful to someone who will look for DOS drivers, so here  they are - the English version with English manual from official Fujitsu website http://www.fujitsu.com/downloads/MO/dos.exe

Sorry guys! Sorry for confusion. I've made a stupid noob mistake. Just forgot to turn on the IDE controller on board! This is because I'm using the CF-IDE and turned off IDE forever and just forgot about this. 😁 So, yes - MCF3064AP works just great with those drivers under MS DOS.
