I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a crash corurse
in running old dos games. I am having problems in doom with the mouse
being too slow or not working and the sound being all choppy. In duke nukem
the sound in shoppy again. A lot of old games that I run make my computer
overheat. Damn P4. I should probably get dosbox or some other equivalent.

I have three other computers besides this one. I have an AMD K6 266mhz,
a Pemtium 3 400Mhz, a P2 laptop, and a celeron 667 mhz. The first three are not
operational yet. The celeron will play most games, but my brother is using
that computer as his main computer.

I was also wondering if running the games in freeDOS would work...

First of all, welcome to the forums... 😎

Time for you for getting into some insane old games "emulation". Did you ever heard of VDMSound or DOSBox?. Just check these forums. You will be surprised how much you will learn. 😎

Feel free to post any question you may have but I strongly advise you to read the guides and search the forum prior asking for anything. It may be already asked somewhere.
