Hoping this is the right section...

Which are all the files this system takes? I do know of cmd.exe and ntvdm.exe, the typical ones, but what are the others? I only know of vjoy.dll, because the system asked for it. Beep.sys, maybe?

On this live USB stick, text applications can be open in full screen, just not graphical applications, I get black screen.

Considering this computer used to run Windows XP without hassle, including 16bit games in its own right, I can imagine something is missing. What is it?

Here's the full file list, from Process Explorer. If I'm correct, porting whatever file is missing should, in theory, fix the issues.

Some files from MS-DOS 5.0 are included (COMMAND, EDIT, .etc) with NTVDM for some very basic DOS compatibility.
