I started using FreeDOS, mainly to try out the SBEMU on my modern machine. I could install it very easily - FreeDOS and SBEMU. Both are running fine, I have limited the memory to 16 MB for compatibility. Most games run fine. The problem I'm having is that some games (most?) in DOS are supposed to run in a video resolution with refresh rate of 70 Hz. On an old Pentium based PC, running MS-DOS 6.22 the games switch resolutions when they're run. On the modern machine with FreeDOS+SBEMU, the games never change the resolution. My display is always set at 60 Hz. I have RTX 2060 GPU and I'm using HDMI output on it. Am I doing something wrong?
The games that are supposed to run at 60 Hz (Dyna Blaster, Black Thorne, Aladdin, Turrican), run smoothly, others that are supposed to run at 70 Hz (Vinyl Goddess from Mars, Cybersphere, Doofus), run choppy or slow(er) than they're supposed to.
