Hi, I just came across this old game in my drawer where its been collecting dust for years, after having had no problems in stalling it im not trying to play it on my new laptop with win7 x64.

When I start the game it first plays the EIDOS intro movie in odd rainbow colours, it then loads for a while and finally reaches the main menu, where the mouse is so laggy its unbearable.

I managed to click "new game" and the text fields where as responsive as they should be, no problem typing in a name, i then battled the mouse to click "Start game" which i managed after a few minutes, sadly the mouse was as laggy ingame, so i gave up and came here for help.

So to recap trying to play "Cutthroats: terror on the high seas" on my win7 x64 laptop.
The mouse is laggy but the rest of the game may run fine.

So far Ive tried downloading a cpu slowdown utility, but it gave me a bunch of bad floating point errors, and had no effect on the game.

Also the game has no setting to force hardware mouse.

I hope someone can help me with this =)
