speaking of atari, don't forget about about the original microsoft arcade, which has some of atari's old arcade games from battlezone to centipede.

Here's two I can think of:

Darkseed II (Call me crazy, but I don't give a shit about what anyone else thinks. I think it's a good game with good music and gameplay but with some pretty cheesy moments. Actually has some improvements from the original, like the timer thankfully being removed and the game is now far bigger, but I don't think the visuals are quite as appealing as the original.)

Glider 4.0 CD (Pretty fun game in bursts. Originally from the Macintosh.)

Spectre VR. It runs in a higher resolution than the DOS version too. I could never get the music working for some reason, however.

Two great games I play in Windows 3.1 in DosBox:

Shivers (terrific Sierra game, lots of puzzles as well as FMV - one of their best ever)

Dust: A Tale of the Wired West (adventure game with a Wild West setting, lots of fun and one of my favorites - same developer as Titanic: Adventure out of Time)

Welcome to the future is definately a windows 3.1 game. For some reason, it's extremely difficult to emulate. DOSBox struggles with turning, and PCem requires a powerful PC, 86box also glitches out. I'd you want a 3.1 exclusive, that's probably the closest you'll get.

I have KQVI for DOS. Isn't the Win 3.1 version a different release? Is there a conversion patch?

It's a different release, but for both MS-DOS and Windows 3.0 Multimedia/3.1 on CD while the one for MS-DOS only used diskettes. The one for MS-DOS was initially released in 1992, while for Windows was released in 1993. King's Quest VI - Wikipedia and I believe was the first game to use MPEG (MPEG encoder/decoder hardware on ISA slot did exist back then, which was critical for certain games and files to run smoothly without hogging the CPU).

For Windows 3.1 I like SimCity 2000 and Civ 2!

On that note, is there any other game mostly associated with Win9x that runs on 3.1? With or without Win32s.
