the little black curser in windows and dos games that are run in 256... read the fourm and youll see what i mean she included a screenshot too down below

no clue, but you could check if you have a cursor enhancement tool installed (like cursorXP or similar). some games have problems with such tools.
Also disable mouse-shadow or use Compatibility mode and set it to 256 colors.
when running the game use "Alt+TAB", go to windows desktop and back.

maybe something helps...
