I recently rediscovered my old copy of Scud: Industial Evolution, an old Segasoft game released in the mid 90's and tried to play it on my shiny new XP running computer. It installed well and when I executed the program it ran, displaying the production logos with no problems.

Sadly, when the last logo had bidden me "good day" and slipped away into that limbo where production company logos wait to annoy you once more, it was replaced by an unresponsive black sceen.

This screen grew more and more black and more and more unresponsive until I was obliged to reset my computer to regain control of it. I tried the game again with disappointingly similar results.

Now, there is no external setup application or options menu by which I could save myself untold hassle by rectifying my own problem so I figure there must be some kind of patch to do it for me.

DOES ANYONE HAVE SUCH A PATCH?
