Hello, I am having difficulty installing mechwarrior 2 mercenaries (titanium edition) on windows 98 SE.

9800 Pro 128MB video card (with latest windows 98 drivers)
1gb pc2700 RAM
pentium 4 3ghz processor

The problem I am having is that as soon as I run the setup, I get an error that says "Splash" at the top, says the program has performed an illegal operation yada yada. When I click on details it says "SPLASH caused an exception c0000006H in module Kernel32.dll at 0177:bff81960". I am really itching for some Mercs action. Can anyone help me out? Thanks for reading.
