I was wondering if Discworld Noir can be played in xp? I installed it and played with no problems until I reached the mausoleum, after the cutscene in the mausoleum the game crashes, any idea how to fix this?
There's no hard and fast answer to your question; I know some people who have managed to get through the whole game on XP, and others who weren't able to.
Some folks have had success with 95/98 compatibility mode.
There are places in the game where it tends to crash. I don't think the SafeDisc copy protection the game used sits well with XP. I've heard the budget rerelease is less problematic in this regard.
And a lot of folks get crashes if they try to access the options page from the main menu before starting the game. Once you start the game, press F1 from the main menu and get to the options that way--that will avoid potential crashes with saving and reloading.
So, you'll just have to experiment, I'm afraid.
