Recently installed a copy of Microsoft's FURY 3 (by Terminal Reality) on an XP driven PC. There is a Logitech Wingman 2 joystick installed on the PC. The game either does not recognize the joystick or the joy stick does not work right, depending on what XP compatibility mode you select. The joystick is working properly with more "recent vintage" games.

Don't recognize that model. I've seen multiple Wingman models, can you be more specific?

Don't know much about sticks, but IIRC the Wingman models want you to be using their profiler software and that it needs to be run with Administrator rights to run properly on 2000 and XP.

It does, but since this is one of the first (if not THE first) Windows DOS-like-Action games, I wouldn't be surprised if the problem was it presuming certain Win9x interface "features" that no longer exist on XP. It looks like it's using the OS when run on Win98 (brings up the controller window), but the stick is invisible to it in XP.

This guy says it works with SP1 installed:

MSoft's support says it must be configured as a 2-Axis, 4-Button Joystick, but then throws in the XP caveat:
