Well, I really don't know anything about old gaming thing 😜
I tried to play a game I had called Messiah ('saw some guys talkin' about
it here), but when I tryed to open it up (on the glide button) it tells
me You'll need a 3DFX video card to open C:\Program Files\SHINY\Messiah\MessiahGlide3X.exe.
I looked up for a complete guide about how to emulate
this thing but didn't find one.

can somone tell me how to act from here? maybe with dgVoodo?
thx. 😁

Im running an AMD, Windows XP (SP2), 512 MB RAM, and some strange video card
VIA/S3G UniChorme IGP (I think this is it).

I thought Messiah also supported Direct3D? You may want to try that first.

I have had issues with Messiah before where the solution was to use Zeckensack or DgVoodoo since D3D wouldn't work but I believe that was only for the demo.

Thankes for answering. 😀
on the D3D it just tells me i need a 3D card to run it...
i tryed to have dgVoodo but i didn't know how to dial this thing. it told something VDD. i just need a guide...

i have another AMD with Radeon Sapphire which tells me the same thing on both optinons. (i tryed to switch in the card properties the option direct3D to OpenGL and then tryed them both, but it didnt help).

Seggustions? 😖

When you install Zeckensack it puts the glide wrapper in your C:\Windows directory which means any glide game will be able to find it because it's in your path.

With DGVoodoo I think you have to copy it's files into the game directory.

IIRC, DGVoodoo doesn't support Glide3X so you may have to use Zeckensack.

Well I highly doubt that Zeckensack would work with the POS VIA/S3G UniChorme IGP (I think this is it)

As for the Radeon it should work fine. Try copying the glide2x and glide3x.dll files from C:\Windows to the same directory as messiahglide3x.dll

[edit] found a working 1.2 patch link.

Removed the 'x6' from the end of the URL. My download catcher gave this URL:

Damn this games weird. I set it up in 1.0 again, set "Install Path"=".\\1" in reg which installed the 1.2 patch to messiah\1. copied only the essential files to the game dir. Ran the game with "d3d.exe ! -i" and it asked for the cd 3 times then loaded the menu and it runs in widescreen. no cracks required. After plenty of testing, it seems that the crashes are random & not from turning options on/off. restarting the game and setting same options usually works. I didn't notice any difference between 8x & 16x AA/AF.
