im trying to play "Jewels of the Oracle" from 1995.

i mounted the E: drive (cdrom) and moved into that directory, and tried to install the game. and its says

This program requires Microsoft Windows.

so i tried to just run the game (just to see if it would work)

i get the same error.

how to i overcome this?

Jewels of the Oracle comes exists both as a Windows 3.x version and as a Windows 9x version. If it's the Windows 3.x version, then you can install that version of Windows inside DOSBox (but we can't tell you where to get Win3, sorry). If it's the Windows 9x version, it should run directly in your current OS, possibly using compatibility mode. While it is possible to install Windows 95 in DOSBox, it's not the most convenient setup and you may be served better by using Virtual PC or similar software.
