Davros that did the trick!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can set OpenGL and High res and keep it...

whooot! Thank you so much, sorry i was being so dumb about that one setting, i was able to set up a new config for SiN in the Nvida control panel and then set it with the setting at on..i kept getting false Termination Windows notices but they went away each time and it works perfectly.!!! I am going to try this on Anachronox and some others now ...what a blast

thanks again

Any Idea why SIN stutters on my Celeron400/Voodoo3 with WickedGL drivers installed?
Without WickedGL Drivers I can only use 640x480 and 800x600.
I don't know why, but my machine should be fast enough to let it run smooth on 1024x768.

Pretty easy answer - SiN's included 3dfx MiniGL is designed for V1/V2 and predates the V3. Stick to default OpenGL on V3/Banshee/V4/V5. V3's have a dedicated system GL ICD so a MiniGL driver is not necessary.

And Sin won't be smooth on those specs anyway even if you had a Geforce4 in that thing. Get used to the stutter, it's SiN, it was never smooth on the fast rigs at release. 😀
