Just tried this on Uprising in WinXP32 on a ATI X2300 vid laptop and get this.....blank black in game screen. Menus look and work fine.

And this when I Alt-F4 in order to close the game from that blank game screen.

Anyone else try this? Wondering if its my system or perhaps I'm doing something wrong? Does it even work?

Aside, is there any way to run this game in a window? Tried /w switch, does not work.

Please put the wrapper dll in the mainfolder of uprising or uprising 2,
do the same with the configuration file, dont put the files in the windows folder. Be sure to download the rigth wrapper for uprising,
sven has a second wrapper for a roll game on his site, this wrapper does not work for uprising.
Tell me please if it works.

Using both files from the Uprising section of that site. Still not working. Menus work but once game is launched its black screen. Game is running in back of black screen as I can hear sounds.

Tried in Vista64 and VMWare install with WinXP32.

Do not use vmwareplaer, it should work for xp.

Here is the complete setup for uprising but in german, it works great on my xp pc.

This Germain version does work in both vista64 and VMWare winXP32, but of course I can't read a thing. 😀

I copied the glide2x.dll and glide-init.exe from the German version to the 1.05 version I have and I still get black screen when actual game area loads.

If I use your German uprising.exe on my version, it works and menus are English but in game text is German.

I've uploaded the English .exe.

The problem in uprising is no glidewrapper works for uprising. Sven made this wrapper for me in many hours of work. Maybe the wrapper works only for the german version but it should not be
a problem to modify the wrapper for you. Please go to his website and mail him.
