Anywho, Win32s seems to install okay, but when I try to install the 32 bit version of quicktime, I get three error reports, one after the other:
"Win32s - Error
At least one system component is out of date.
Please reinstall D:\QTWSETUP\WIN32\EXPRESS\QT32INST.EXE"
"Win32s - Error
Improper installation.
Win32s requires WIN32S.EXE and WIN32S16.DLL to run.
Please reinstall Win32s."
"The specified path is invalid."
It could be because of the actual installer I used, which was linked to from Wikipedia, so I'll check the one you linked to in that guide.
Okay, when I use the one that was linked to in that guide, and then I try to install Quicktime 32, I get this error:
"Win32s -Error
QT32INST.EXE
Unhandled Exception detected. (Code: 0xC0000094 QT32INST.EXE:6ED5)
Application will be terminated."
I have no idea why this happened.

Nope.
That's the thing; the 16 bit version isn't installing properly. It goes through the process okay, but something seems to be keeping it from properly finishing.
Maybe you have too much free disk space and the installer has problems with that much. This is a well known problem with old applications.

I may be doing it wrong, because when I typed in "mount c c:\doswin -freesize 126" (as well as mounting the virtual d drive to my real f drive), it still didn't install correctly. Of course, I was trying to reinstall the program, both with the reinstall application that was in the Quicktime folder, as well as from the Myst CD. Neither worked.
Do I have to reinstall all of Windows first?

Maybe something else is causing the problem, but it's hard to tell. Have you tried other cpus/cores in DosBox? Some are quite unstable with certain programs or might have missing instructions required for the installation.

No, but they're both currently set to auto.

try pentium and 386. Try setting the core to simple.

Okay, I tried setting the core to simple, and the CPU type for pentium, and all the variations on 386 that were listed in the options as examples. None of them worked; Quicktime still doesn't install correctly. (386_prefetch actually caused DOSbox to crash before starting up.)
Did you do anything else to the dosbox.conf?
